SAT Requirements for Delta State University
Delta State University requires all first-time freshmen to submit either the SAT or ACT scores. The institution is test-optional for transfer students and incoming students who are homeschooled or have completed a high school diploma through the Advanced Placement program.
For first-time freshmen, submitting SAT or ACT scores is mandatory. Transfer students, however, have the option to skip the SAT or ACT, as Delta State University recognizes the equivalency of other academic achievements. Homeschooled students and those with diplomas from AP programs also have the flexibility to choose which test to submit, though the university encourages SAT or ACT scores for a comprehensive evaluation.

Test Policy
Delta State University accepts SAT scores from the old 2400-point scale and the 1600-point scale. The institution recommends that students take the SAT or ACT no later than the spring of their senior year in high school.

- Delta State University does not require SAT II subject tests.
- The university does not superscribe SAT scores.
